Westwood No.1 again after Donald loses playoff

Lee Westwood remains in the hunt to reclaim the world No. 1 spot with a three-stroke victory at the Indonesian Masters in Jakarta.
Westwood, who celebrated his 38th birthday on Sunday, will return to the top of the rankings if Luke Donald, who holds a one-shot lead at The Heritage in South Carolina, fails to land the trophy. The world No. 2, who led by five strokes heading into the final round, opened with a birdie but was pegged back by a bogey at the second.
After eight straight pars the Englishman made back-to-back birdies to help him on his way to a round of 69, 19-under-par and three strokes clear of Thailand's Thongchai Jaidee, whose impressive bogey-free round of 65 saw him finish a further three shots clear of four players on 13-under.
Jaidee's compatriot Thitiphun Chuayprakong was joined by South Korea's Park Hyun-bin in a tie for third alongside Siddikur Rahman of Bangladesh and Australian Marcus Both.
On the other hand, Luke Donald missed out on the chance to become the new world No. 1 after he lost to Brandt Snedeker in an enthralling play-off at The Heritage leaving Lee Westwood to reclaim his spot at the top of the rankings.
After Westwood won at the Indonesian Masters, Donald had to win in South Carolina to usurp Martin Kaymer, but the Englishman was edged out on the third extra hole. In a compelling final round, Donald needed a birdie at the last to be assured of victory but he could only par, meaning he finished alongside clubhouse leader Snedeker on 12-under par.
Aiming to follow in the footsteps of Nick Faldo and Westwood, and become only the third Brit to top the world rankings, Donald had one hand on the trophy as he drained an 11ft putt for birdie at the first play-off hole - the 18th. However, Snedeker matched him to take the contest to the par-three 17th.
