Messi eases Barca through in Champions League

Barcelona cruised into the Champions League semi-finals as they followed up a first-leg demolition of Shakhtar Donestsk by winning in Ukraine.
After a 5-1 victory in Spain, Lionel Messi put the tie to bed with his 48th goal of the season - a Spanish record - when he slotted in Dani Alves's pass.
Shakhtar had threatened early on when Douglas Costa and Jadson tested Victor Valdes, but Barca were always superior.
Andriy Pyatov saved Ibrahim Afellay's shot as the visitors eased through 1-0.
Barcelona will now meet the winners of Tottenham vs Real Madrid on Wednesday, with their Spanish arch-rivals favourites to progress after a thumping 4-0 win in the first leg at the Bernabeu.
Barca, eight points clear at the top of La Liga and due to face Real in the Spanish Cup final on Wednesday 20 April, are bidding for a repeat of the Treble they achieved in coach Pep Guardiola's first season two years ago.
