Edwin Van Der Sar, United’s best keeper since the Great Dane Peter Schmeichel has confirmed he will hang up his gloves at the end of this season. Van Der Sar is one of the best keepers in the world, even at 40 years of age and has achieved a lot in his career since making his debut at Ajax wayback in 1990. Edwin has won 7 League titles, 4 Domestic cups, 2 Champions Leagues and the UEFA Cup. He has represented his country 130 times (captaining them on numerous occasions) and was also voted best keeper in Europe in 1995 and again in 2009. He has been rock solid between the sticks over the past 5 years and Fergie has a big job on his hands trying to find a replacement.
